National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I) - 2014

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the NDA-I and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I) , 2014 on 20/04/2014 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wing of the NDA for 133rd Course and Naval Academy for 95th [10+2 Executive Branch] course commencing from January 2015. Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible
Posts : 376 (Army-208, Navy-42, Air Force - 70, Navy Academy- 55)

Age : Born between 2nd July, 1995 and 1st July 1998.

• Educational Qualification
  • for Army : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  • For Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University with Physics and Mathematics subjects
• Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Fee: Rs.100/- (No fee for SC/ST/ Sons of JCOs, NCOs, ORs) to be deposited in any branch of SBI or Online by Net Banking Or by Credit/ Debit card.

Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II), 2013 including SSC (Women Non-Technical) Course
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (I), 2013 on 8th September, 2013 for admission to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy amd Air force Academy for the Courses commencing in July, 2014 and Officers Training Academy, Chennai for the courses (Men and Women) commencing in October, 2014. :

1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun : 250 posts
2. Naval Academy, Goa : 40 posts
3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad : 32 posts
4. Officers Training Academy , Chennai (Men) : 175 posts
5. Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Women) : 12 posts

Conditions of Eligibility
(A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:

• For Indian Military Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 and not later than 1st July 1995 only are eligible.
• For Naval Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 and not later than 1st July 1995 only are eligible.
• For Air Force Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 and not later than 1st July 1995 only are eligible.
• For Officers' Training Academy – (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1989 and not later than 1st July 1995 only are eligible.
• For Officers Training Academy – SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course :  (a) Unmarried Women, issue less widows who have not remarried, and issue less divorcees (in possession of divorcee documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd July, 1989 and not later than 1st July, 1995.

(B) Educational Qualifications:

• For Indian Military Academy and Officers' Training Academy : Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.
• For Naval Academy : B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.
• For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering
• Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates.
• (C) Physical Standards: candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II), 2012 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

Fee : Pay Rs.200/- either in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking of SBI or by using Credit/ Debit card. Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted.

• Airman in Group 'X' (Technical) Trades.

Qualification : Intermediate or 10+2 or Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks. OR Three years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks, Age : Born between 01 September 1993 and 30 December 1996 (both date inclusive)
Training : Initial Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) will be provided at Airmen Training School, Belgaum (Karnataka) for 12 weeks. After it Trade Training will be provided.
Selection Procedure : Written Test : Test will be held during August 2013. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) : those who pass written test will undertake Physical Fitness Test. It consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 8 min., Interview : Those who pass both the written and PFT will be called for interview.
How to Apply : candidate must indicate three choices of the examination centre in order of preference. Application form which is predefined should be typed on A4 size paper only.
