Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (now Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya) was established on 1st November, 1978.The College of Agriculture (established in May, 1966) formed the nucleus of new farm University.
