The Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology-IMMT, (formerly Regional Research Laboratory, Bhubaneswar) was setup as a premier establishment of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi in 1964 in the State of Orissa, in eastern India.
